After singing “O Holy Night” for years, this line grabbed my breath: “Till he appeared and the soul felt its worth.” With so much emphasis on what’s wrong with us, it was a powerful wake-up call to remember that we are Imago Dei: made of God stuff. What powerful thing might you and I do today if we recognized our worth and the equal worth of others? Boggles my mind!
